Viewers to the web site should be aware of the fact that many Anglican and other records were lost during the fire in the Four Courts building in Dublin in 1922. For the Anglican records which have survived many records are in a poor condition both books and micro film which has meant that some records were unreadable and could not be transcribed. The Anglican record books by parish start with the letter P followed by a number, with the micro film showing a number for the parish. In some situations the same information is held in both book and micro film form.
Always go back to the original source to confirm the accuracy of the records.
The Anglican Records so far viewed are held in the RCB Library Churchtown Dublin.
It is now planned to view all of the church records held in The National Library Dublin and later in PRONI in Belfasrt.
Every effort is made to keep the website up and running smoothly. However, The Stewart family website takes no responsibility for, and will not be liable for, the website being temporarily unavailable due to technical issues beyond our control.
